We carry out Electrical Inspection Condition Reports (EICR) and you will recieve a NICEIC pdf of the report.
The main purpose of the Inspection is a safety check, like an MOT of your vehicle. Other reasons for an EICR can include, rented property check for landlords. An assessment of your electrical system before doing a consumer unit/ fuse board upgrade or just a safety check for peace of mind. Please ask for more details.
What is a domestic EICR report?
So, what is a domestic EICR report? An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR certificate) is also known as fixed wire testing, periodic inspection report, Homebuyer’s Test, landlord safety test or Domestic EICR.
A domestic EICR report provides you with a formal assessment of the electrical safety in your home or any other residential property, and across England it’s a legal requirement if the property is to be rented out to a tenant. It is likely to become legal for social housing within the next year of so at the time of writng this.
What properties is a domestic EICR report suitable for?
The report is suitable for testing domestic electrical circuits in all types of residential property including flats, terraced houses, semi-detached and detached houses, as well as HMOs.
Please note we are rigourous with our testing and do not do the “drive buy” testing which plagues our industry. Even a small flat takes about 3-4 hours to complete. Larger houses can take a full day with two people. If you have any existing paperwork it makes it a lot quicker to complete inspection and test.
